For Case Managers
How to get LS Adaptive clothing covered or reimbursed for the people you support.
Getting dressed should not take an hour or wear someone out before the day has even started. LS Adaptive makes everyday clothing that goes on in seconds, one-handed, with magnetic Hana Fasteners™ in place of buttons and zippers. For someone recovering from an injury or living with impaired mobility or dexterity, that means less time, less effort, and more independence at the start and end of every day.
If you are coordinating care for an injured worker or a patient, this page shows you how to get our clothing covered or reimbursed by third party payors. The process is simple, and we help at every step.
How reimbursement works
- Request an invoice. Tell us which pieces and sizes your client needs, and we will send an itemized invoice, with applicable sales tax, within one business day. Email wecare@lsadaptive.com.
- A Letter of Medical Necessity May be Required. Ask the treating physician for a short Letter of Medical Necessity. It states the diagnosis and explains why adaptive clothing is medically necessary for dressing, mobility, and daily living. This is what most reviewers look for, and it gives the claim its best chance. We can send a template the physician or their office can adapt in minutes.
- Submit to the payer. Send the invoice and the letter to the workers' compensation adjuster or insurance reviewer for approval.
- We deliver. Once the claim is approved, the payer pays the invoice directly by check or ACH. We handle delivery, and we can time it to a scheduled clinic visit when you share the date.
What we provide
- Itemized invoices, ready to submit, with shipping, and sales tax included.
- A Letter of Medical Necessity template for the treating physician.
Who this helps
We work with case managers supporting injured workers, amputees, wheelchair users, and patients in recovery and rehabilitation. Our clothing is co-created with the people who wear it and reviewed by a Design Council of wheelchair users, amputees, and healthcare professionals before it is ever made. We also work alongside clinical partners including OrthoCarolina and Carolinas Rehabilitation.
We will reply within 48 hours with an itemized invoice and if needed a Letter of Medical Necessity Template.
Paying out of pocket
If your client is paying on their own, LS Adaptive clothing is also HSA and FSA eligible through our partner TrueMed at checkout.
