Hana Fasteners™ are LS Adaptive’s patent-pending magnetic fastening system, designed specifically for adaptive apparel. They are low-profile, lightweight, and secure, making one-handed dressing easier while blending seamlessly into everyday clothing. Unlike bulky alternatives, Hana Fasteners™ provide a strong, reliable closure without adding stiffness or bulk. They are also washer and dryer friendly.
Our fasteners are engineered for long-term use. Under normal conditions, the magnets maintain their strength and performance for decades. They only risk losing strength if exposed to extreme abuse or very high heat above 100°C or boiling water.
Advanced Imaging Technology (AIT), now available at most airports, can facilitate your screening and reduces the likelihood of a pat-down. LS Adaptive’s magnetic fasteners are discrete and typically do not trigger airport security alarms. The magnetic elements will trigger metal detectors.
If you choose to not be screened through the Advanced Imaging Technology (AIT), or a walk-through metal detector (WTMD), you will probably be subject to a pat-down screening. If you have concerns, you may wish to inform security staff about your adaptive clothing.
Yes, our products are intentionally designed for ease of use, with intuitive fasteners and clear instructions.
Our fasteners are designed with safety in mind, nevertheless, the fasteners used in LS Adaptive’s solutions do use magnets. So, if you have a pacemaker or other medical device that is sensitive to magnetic fields, please consult your healthcare provider before use, and contact us for detailed product specifications.
No, our fasteners are engineered to withstand repeated laundering without loss of function or strength.
We provide detailed sizing guides and recommendations for measuring, including considerations for wheelchair users and those with unique body shapes. See our sizing guide link.

FSA / HSA
Yes! All LS Adaptive apparel is HSA/FSA eligible when purchased with a Letter of Medical Necessity (LoMN) because it addresses mobility, dexterity, and daily living challenges. Through our partnership with TrueMed, you can use pre-tax dollars to shop and save on adaptive clothing.
Add any LS Adaptive product to your cart (all are eligible). At checkout, choose “TrueMed | Pay with HSA/FSA,” enter your HSA or FSA debit card info, and complete your purchase. If your card is declined, it’s often due to insufficient funds or restrictions from your plan—check your balance or contact your provider.
No problem. Select the “TrueMed | Pay with HSA/FSA” option at checkout and enter a regular credit or debit card. TrueMed will email an itemized receipt you can submit to your HSA/FSA provider for reimbursement.
Depending on your HSA/FSA rules, you may need a Letter of Medical Necessity (LoMN). Choosing the TrueMed payment option at checkout will guide you through obtaining a LoMN, which states your diagnosis and why the apparel is medically necessary.
